It is a way to explore other parts of one's consciousness and to get to know oneself a bit better, from a possibly unusual perspective. The Burbank Women's Self Defense Group was started to provide women a safe place to train self defense without having to enroll in a formal martial arts system. The purpose of the group is to provide it's members with the awareness and skill to handle themselves in an assualt and to examine the choices we have when someone is attempting to take those choices away. Any woman 18 to 65 may join. Husbands, and boyfriends are welcome as well on some nights.
